Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

• Information you give us directly. When you fill out the project survey, you may give us your name, phone number, email address, property address or parcel ID, and details about the project you're planning. We use this to evaluate your parcel and respond to your inquiry, nothing else.
• Information collected automatically. We do not run analytics or tracking on the Site. Like any web server, our hosting provider may log basic technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the Site.

How we use it

• To respond to your survey submission
• To evaluate a parcel and prepare a quote or feasibility answer
• To schedule and manage a project if you become a client
• To meet legal, permitting, or regulatory obligations tied to a project

Cookies and analytics

The Site does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tracking. The project survey is provided by a third-party form service, which may set cookies needed for the form to work. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the rest of the Site remains usable without them.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only in these situations:

• Project delivery. With the engineers, permitting authorities, or subcontractors directly involved in your project, and only the details each of them actually needs.
• Service providers. With vendors who help us run the Site or our business, such as hosting and form providers, bound to use the information only to provide that service.
• Legal reasons. If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kansas Barndominium Builders, our clients, or others.

Data retention

We keep survey submissions and project inquiries for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, deliver a project, and meet our own recordkeeping and legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by sending the request through our project survey. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Deleting information tied to an active project may limit our ability to continue that project.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. We can't guarantee absolute security of any information you submit.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site or our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
